Jewelry-making classes continue May 17 at Heidi Lowe Gallery | Cape Gazette

Heidi Lowe Gallery is offering a variety of upcoming jewelry-making classes.

Each three-hour class is designed for fun, success and safety. Students will learn how to make a piece of jewelry from start to finish and wear their own handmade creation out the door.

Dog/Cat Tags Class is set for 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 17. Attendees will learn metalworking techniques including sawing, stamping and riveting sheet metal, and use them to make a special wearable tag for a furry friend. Cost is $100. Everyone will leave class with a tag ready to attach to a pet’s collar.

Beach Treasure Pendant Class will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, May 24. Students can bring a special found object and learn how to set it into a silver pendant. Cost is $120.

A Beach Glass Ring Workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 11. Students will learn how to make a ring and set a piece of beach glass in silver.

Registration closes the Saturday before the class date. No experience is necessary. Participants must be at least 13 years old.

Heidi Lowe Gallery is open for shopping by appointment, curbside pickup, and for private and group classes at 17522 Ward Ave., Lewes.
